Suizhou Landfill Leachate Treatment Project

Project Overview

The Suizhou landfill leachate project is a technical transformation and expansion initiative. The influent COD reaches as high as 5000 mg/L. Initially, the project utilized a two-stage DTRO (Disc Tube Reverse Osmosis) treatment process, with a designed daily treatment capacity of only 100 tons. However, as the volume of landfill leachate has increased annually, the original leachate treatment equipment can no longer operate normally.

After Naishi took over the project, they upgraded the existing water treatment equipment and added new flotation and biochemical treatment systems (A/O-MBR), as well as a SUPER RO membrane treatment system. They also replaced the heavily fouled and aged DTRO membrane elements. Following these modifications, the daily leachate treatment capacity increased to 220 tons, and the effluent quality met the standards of the “Pollution Control Standard for Domestic Waste Landfills” (GB16889-2008).
